Official Squatch Watchers

I'd gladly lend them, Rhonda would make the tiller look sick lol!
Swear she looks like a mini horse from a distance.
I NEED Rhonda and her whole crew! Trying to loosen hard ground so I can begin prep for moving my flowers is to dang hard.

Even the big tiller skips cross the top and cannot get more than an inch in.

I swear I would give her cantaloupe and watermelon and whatever noms she wants as long as she helps!

I could only sink my spade fork in 3 inches! I poked as many holes with it as I could then set to watering that area. More spade fork this evening and hopefully a tiller tomorrow.

If you see a broad fork, think about getting one. I have one and it's easier than a potato fork. The tines are wider, but thinner and turned 90%
I think this is the one I have...got it on sale a few years ago and it was a lot cheaper

That looks WAY better than my spade fork.

Mine is like this....

I'm alive. I've been trying to catch up but you all are so talkative I just can't. 😁
Not even sure where it was that I updated everyone last. So much has been going on. Got more chickens. Lost more chickens. Rehabbed 2 prefab coops and a rabbit hutch to bring my total to 6. 🤦🏻‍♀️ On top of recently adding a new account to my night job and expecting another account to finally come back.

This little coop got a new roof and I built the run from salvaged materials. I had to buy the blocks to put it on and the HW cloth is new but I even reused screws. It's the serama house. I need to put actual shingles on the roof but the paint I used is super duty outdoor stuff. So it will last till I get the chance for real roofing. I want to cover the run too but they are safe and it has a temporary tarp cover for this lovely weather we've had.

This little lady would not break so I got her some chicks. I tried to get her to break for so long I was afraid to let her hatch. She was just the beginning. After her 12 more decided it was a good idea to hatch babies!
So now I have guinea keets. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I don't know how they have survived as a species. Within the 1st week I had 1 get stuck and 2 escape. They are in the serama pen. With 5 moms! One of the babies made it 20 yards to the other side of the chicken run. Just the other day one manged to get itself scewered on the ends on of the HW cloths upside-down. It's alive and I can't even tell which one it is now. But they are a whole new level of dumb. And I have silkies!

Merida my mostly blind house chicken has had some issues but so far we are working through them. View attachment 2763013
She makes a great napping buddy. Keeps me warm and blocks the light from my eyes.

And I joined tik tok. It was mostly so I could laugh.

I sadly had to put one of my cats to sleep.View attachment 2763018
She came into my life on deaths door step abandoned at about 7 y/o. I got 7 years with her. It was a quick and sudden decline into liver failure. And treatment didn't sound pleasant or likely to work. I pet her while she passed and buried her at my childhood home in the family cemetery.

That's all I can really think of right now. I'm sure I've missed things.

And I'd love a recap of what I've missed.

Good morning!
Overslept again by an hour, no idea why I went to bed early guess I was just tired.
It could have been because I went to bed irritated, the MIL wanted us to pick up the child she adopted from school then got ill when we said no we can't.
Honestly nobody was trying to be difficult, we aren't authorized to go get him and we don't have a car seat which are two big no no's these days.
Anyhoo she's on the warpath because I hate kids "not really" lol!

Nunny!
So good to hear from you, sounds like you've been busy as a bee with an espresso addiction.
I giggled, no I snorted at your guinea keets my lord you're always up for a challenge aren't you?
They are cute though.:)
Here not much has changed the herd is still all with me even Homer and Jerry, neither of which has entirely grown up.
Jerry is pretty much a full grown rooster that still pushes under my armpit and Homer still wedges under butts.
Did have one take the ferry across the river Styx, my old cat finally passed the one that I got in 2003 so that was fairly sucktacular.
