I would think you need it's light and airflow Henny

That shed is for gardening tools now so not much time inside it. It also has 2 other windows and open soffits.

Maybe if I add a tall narrow trellis with a pot below growing scarlet runner beans.....

I am open to ideas....

The year old one was 3 3/4 lb, the 14 week old 2 1/4 pound.

Yes, he gets to make eggs for me to hatch out in farm country where the Animal Control people are not patrolling
I thought he was the better one since they were 12 weeks old.

@rjohns39 -- I had a rooster I had to process yesterday, the Barred Holland I gave to my neighbor. He was smaller, and I was not keeping him, but she wanted him so he got an extra year. He was still smaller, and his feathers had a gold cast to them, with white in his earlobes. The one I kept, larger, has completely red ear lobes, and no gold to his feathers. He had to go to my friend in Chino Valley, where he is legal. My thought is that the one I culled yesterday would not have been one of your breeders. Here are some pics. I am afraid that the lighting might not show the color difference.

Gold color leakage is a sure fire trip to freezer camp. You kept the best for breeding. Temperament counts too.

I have been out watering and pulling weeds. If anyone offers you "lady bells" RUN AWAY! They are pretty BUT incredibly invasive.
