Hi everybody :frow
Getting rid of the deep freeze tomorrow. Bittersweet. We dont really use it anymore but i still find it handy. It doesnt really fit in the kitchen anymore and i refuse to climb over three feet of BS to get to it if its put in the garage or downstairs.
I might get a painting out of it though. We'll see 😂. Its supposed to be quite large. So i may not take it.
And I have 2 small chest freezers.... full of homegrown birds, fruit and veggies... beef and pork I traded turkey eggs for and ice packs. Ice packs keep them full so when the power goes out they stay frozen for days. I use the ice to chill the birds while resting and keep them out if I need the room.

I might have figured out what is knocking the DP traps around. I seen a stray cat and I had been using dry cat food as bait. I put marshmallows in the DP traps tonight and cat food in the box. I'll see what happens in the morning.

If I catch the cat I'll get it fixed if it doesn't have a chip

Good luck!

I never seem to get enough produce to freeze and im the only one that eats meat now.
Plus, i really need the space for a continuous counter and cabinets. Im redoing the kitchen. Still. :duc
Once we get everything done and sell this house and move into a new place, im very likely going to get another one. Maybe an upright one this time 🤔

Upright freezer doesn't hold as much and stuff falls out on my foot, but it's easier to find something. Their not as energy efficient as a chest. Chest has an extra level surface, which is good to set something on to look through but bad if it collects clutter

Good morning folks :frow

Good morning all, nothing bothered any traps
:frow Good morning Mo, have a great day
Good morning everybody :frow

“Day off” both places :celebrate:wee BUT everything else needs done at home. No rest for the wicked 🤣
:frow Good morning Fishy, have a great day

Deep freeze is gone :celebrate He forgot the painting 😂 i forgot to give him the baskets and the meat that was in there too. I hate wasting food so Id rather give it away than cook it and end up throwing away the leftovers that I would never be able to eat by myself.

Hi guys!

We got the new (to us) van and have it titled and registered. We need to get it looked at since it has been sitting. We also have our old van back. We are talking about keeping it around for spare parts for my brother's van since it nearly the same make/model. For now, it still runs.

We have 1 large upright freezer, 1 large chest freezer, and 2 small (6-7cu/ft) chest freezers. The large chest freezer holds a lot of extra stuff we don't get into that often. It also serves as counter top for my in-laws (it is in their trailer behind ours) since their kitchen doesn't have much counter space. We have the upright and the two small chest freezers in our house. The upright is for veggies, butter, and other frozen things we use a good bit. One chest freezer is for most of our meat. The other chest freezer is for our milk. We drive 1.5 hours one way to get raw milk from a dairy in PA and we get 30 gallons at a time. I don't know what we would do with out our freezers, of course, we are feeding 4 adults and 3 kids. I have a lot of things I really need to get rid of in them though. I have a bunch of stuff we need to feed to our pigs (old beef organs and such).

Still no sign of our second sow having piglets yet,
