That article about broodies has me worried. I don’t know how I can break her and leave her outside. But 3 possible months in my coal dusted basement is the other option. I could have her in the house but again...3 months? I could block off the nest boxes but the whole floor is pine shavings. Not hard to make another nest.
I guess I’ll try that first. Not really getting eggs at this point anyway.

Welp, the TATERholes in the incubator, the ones who pecked open an egg WAY to soon, has pecked the baby so much they pulled its insides out. Jeebus, pray I can cull this baby chick......
