Right! @21hens-incharge Squatch story time. As you may recall, first tree scaling adventure resulted in the capture of 11 squatchs. 5 males and 6 females. That left three lady squatchs still on the loose. I was able to catch two of them on Tuesday by luring them into the run (no thanks to my own tatering hens who kept sneaking into said run to look at the kenneled rooster eye candy, fight through the fence with the lady squatchs locked in my hospital run, and steal all of my squatch bait:barnie)
The last squatch was the cleverest and craftiest of them all. She evaded all my attempts to trick or catch her. SO I CLIMBED THE TATERING TREE IN THE DARK AGAIN! But I finally got her out of her tree ON THE THIRD TRY and put her in the hospital run with the other ladies for the night :yesss: Victory was mine!!! For a little while... dun dun duhn!

Stay tuned!
:highfive:

Mornin Suzi!

Alaska and their toasty warm temps!!! What gives?

Sam,
I don't think your cedar boards are the issue either.
Was the pine bagged animal bedding or fresh from a mill? If bagged I doubt those are the issue either. I been using bagged pine for 20+ years without issue.
Fresh can be an issue due to spores that are released while its fresh.
