My dog loves the new giant sling shot thing that chucks tennis balls. Much easier than tossing a big stick and no splinters!

FIL has this one so, when we had big dogs, we had one too. I think we still have one of the *extras*.... I better start prepping for when DH retires and him and the PIC get to get *their* dogs... ugh

I use a ChuckIt and love it. Best part is I don’t have to bend over to pick the ball up 10000x

I'm shivering under the covers at my friends house in VA.
have to get my heiney going to drive home this morning.
It's me smuvs.
Started my dog on it and here's what I've changed:
He gets 3/4 of a dropper full on his dinner.
And about 8-10 drops on a dog cookie in the am.

He's sleeping more soundly and he's not moaning when repositioning.
He's going up and down stairs more quickly.
He gets up when I suggest that it's time to go outside instead of ignoring me.
AND He played in the snow thursday.
I'm seriously sold on this stuff.

This sounds very promising!

who/what is Melvin?

Must be a male ....appendage?

Melvin is going to be one of the names of a chickie in THIS flock, the Taterhole Flock..... it was discussed betwixt some of us Squatchers right here on this thread.... pretty funny conversation actually... sorry you both missed it!

Prolly had my head stuck up my taterhole at the time, lol! Or I just block out that name when I see it!

It is sunny out there, but not wanting to go out. Bet it is cold as usual!
I've called that fake Sun for years. Looks bright and sunny and warm and then you go out there and you almost freeze to death.

We're up to 18* Sun is really warm... wind is arctic.
We are at 8 degrees now supposedly it's going to go up to 9. I'm considering opening the pop door so the ladies can at least go out for a little bit so they can appreciate the warm 22 degrees it is inside the coop. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 28 and I cannot wait!

The younger chicks head back in the coop under the light several times this morning. They are not enjoying the teens at all! We are suppose to get above freezing.
I am not understanding the coldest time is at 7:00am when the sun is almost up and the warmest at 4:00pm when the sun is setting quickly???
I found two of the BC had escaped somehow to the chicks side the morning and the chicks were huddled in the corner scared. I hope at some point I can integrate them together, some time soon would be great!! I am such a Tater head for doing this to myself.

We got good news here!!

The breeder my son is going through for his puppy had a buyer change their mind and is willing to wait for next litter. Different mum so should be lighter in color.
He will be getting a pup in March!
They have 5 boys and 4 girls. Two different mums so no not 1 huge litter but 2 smaller ones.

Very exciting for us.
