FNF, I don't heat my birds but I do see where it can be needed.
I say go with your gut. If using lamps just be careful. Get the right kind of bulb and secure then secure again.

Ruby, I am against genetically modifying people. Where would it end? Fixing disease? Making people taller, stronger, live longer, jump higher?
Humans already crowd out other species. Would it make it better? Worse?

I'm against generic modification of humans as well. Death is unfortunate, but also necessary for the survival of a species that is more prolific and dangerous than any other on the planet. We have no natural population control, like predatory species, other than death.

Well, when you think about it...we do have population control. War, and famine. Not a fun way to go. And the black plague did a good job mopping up Europe back in the day. Poor people!
