Official Squatch Watchers

We most definitely NEED to see pics of the top of your head woman!!

As an aside....... about 6 weeks ago, I talked the DH and PIC into shaving my head! My long, RED hair.. shaved off completely. Now, this wasn't a spur of the moment decision... I had been thinking about it for several months.. talking about it... it was just something I really wanted to do, because I was never *allowed* to do anything extreme with my hair when I was younger. I once dyed my hair raven black... so black it had that blue undertone... and my mom went bat crap crazy over it.

So, one of my bucket list things can be crossed off. I can pretty much guarantee that I will NOT be keeping it short.... unless in a type of bob that's halfway between chin and shoulder length..... and I have a TON more white hair than I noticed previously. DH keeps calling me *Storm*, like from the XMen... yeah... I rather be a redhead.

Maybe that shave ya head gene only runs in redheads, huh CSF???
YAY! Fellow redhead! Is your hair curly or straight?

In the 90's (I think I was... 10) my mom told me if I couldn't take care of my hair she would cut it short (she's a hair dresser) even though she didn't like the idea too much. I said sure. Well she gave me.... a fe-mullet. A poofy fe-mullet. My hair has always been curly but when she cut it, the hair close to my head curled up with a vengeance. My mom felt so bad that she took to giving me blowouts on Saturday night before church because I HATED my hair cut when my hair was curled. It took me 2 years to grow it out and 4 to get it all one length to get rid of the horrid bangs.

I've had white hairs as long as I remember (like I remember pulling them out when I was 5 or younger).

SOOO...... What kind of piggies are these??

They are freaking adorable!!

Pot Belly's

@rjohns39 they are adorable!! Forget the garage, load them babies up in the bed with an electric blanket. They deserve the best!! :)

I had a heat lamp on them for about an hour. They went to the far end of the cage, away from the heat and went to sleep. So I pulled the lamp and now they're sleeping in the middle of the cage.

I am going to have a challenge teaching them what proper feed is. They've lived on shelled corn and tourist treats (aka proper feed) their whole lives. The reason DW got such a great deal on them, as the family who runs the farm lives miles away in town. They buy their animals just before the tourism season starts and sell them off over winter. They put real feed in the vending machines so kids drop in a quarter and get a cup of feed. And keep shelled corn in their bowls.

I gave them a bowl of chick grower (almost identical to hog grower) when I got them home... They sniffed it, looked at me with the WTF look and walked away. I cut them a couple big bunches of kale and it was gone in 60 seconds. Tomorrow I'll offer them some organic alfalfa pellets and see how that goes. But I need to get them on a balanced diet.

This farm is only open to the public from September through Nov 4. So I suspect moma is a teacher and takes delivery of the petting zoo when school lets out. They sell off all the animals after they close. all speculation on my part. If I had room in the cage I could have left with another baby and a bore. At no additional charge. Apparently the person picking them up didn't show.

Just put diapers on them and put them in the back seat!:gig We had more than one person buy goats and put them in the back seat, without diapers! Actually, they might be nervous enough to hold it until they get out. Lots of goats will not go if they are tied up tight or have their heads stuck in the fence.

I don’t know what made me think I could hide the chicks. I went upstairs and the chick smell about knocked me down. Not stinky, just chick smell.

I have them huddled up in the coop in their brooder and hopefully I have it fixed where the older chicks stay off the top of the brooder! They get on top to soak up the heat (probably burn feathers). Despite having their own heat lamp they want to get as close as possible to the other one. I may end up bringing them back in house later. Sigh.
