Thanks! I've had a craving for it but never get the gravy right. LOLI use xanthan gum cause I can't use flour. But most people make a roux. 1T butter, melted. Add in 1T flour and brown over med low heat until golden brown. Slowly whisk in 1C milk. It should be thickened to your liking. You can add in crumbled cooked sausage at this point. You can also use sausage grease instead of butter for the roux.
EDIT TO ADD: And add in your seasonings. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, season salt (was always my fav).
