So he seduced them?


Earlier when Odin was out with the other birds Willie (the bantam) would call Odin in for back up if I was being a problem. He'd run and tell on me and Odin would come in to see what I was up to. These birds.. I swear. Willie is feisty too, the lady at tractor supply warned me about if we ended up w/ a boy that they all had Little Man syndrome and not to be afraid to give him a good shove w/ my foot. He has no problem w/ feet, but if I got to grab him he runs away. Feet aren't scary, but hands are?


I do that w/ Willie too. He hates being held though he doesn't stay alway for long. As soon as I put him down he's giving me the side-eye. He's adorable and pathetic.

Get a three foot stick about the size of a pencil in diameter and use it as your beak then you will be the top dog. I only entertain it with mine because it's funny and I like to tease him and play with him

Best rooster I have ever had was a bantam Cochin. Always with an eye on the sky and bravery beyond belief.

My wife said it was a standoff until the dog got there scary old hawk doesn't like corgi

Uhg. I feel pretty icky today. I'm thinking about doing crew, and tryouts were yesterday. They were pretty tough. One of our chickens, Jammer the silver laced wyandotte, is still not fully integrated. Her chick-mate, Nicole, is thriving with the rest of the flock, but Jammer is at the bottom of the pecking order and is losing weight quickly. She's just skin and bones. I'm going to try to feed her at least one egg a day, if I can catch her. She's also the only one not laying yet. Any suggestions?

That's legitimately what happened, though. Anyone have ideas as to what to add to the flock blocks when I get back home? Currently, the ingredients are:
Birdseed
Mealworms
BOSS
1-2 eggs
Peanut butter
Grapes for aesthetics
Oats

I'm a fan of animal protein but sprouted lentils are high in protein and low in fat

yup, that and beef liver. I have other recommendations, but most folks don't have fish meal in their pantry.
