I've given up trying to figure out chicken egg laying. It seemed to take forever for my chicks to start laying. My yearling went into molt and I was getting an egg a week! Finally my new girls started and I thought we were doing good. Now they have decided to stop! I've randomly gotten an egg from a yearling or two but nothing regular.

Mine aren't even yearlings yet! ( feb) and half of them went into a molt which I wasn't expecting.
For crying out loud! I live in SOUTH east North Carolina!
Today is probably the coldest day we've had here so far, (low 40's , dark , ugly and rainy.)
But it gets so dark here so early, I guess their bodies are telling them that we are deep into winter!

I really hope that Jammer is just looking puny while the meds kick in.



OK this is driving me nuts.........

I see a small "TS" in the corner of some peeps avatars...... It is on Smuvs.......... What does it mean??????


I am thinking of trying the painted cabachons. You know like the video I posted. We have a tourist town in the mountains and some of the shops there may be willing to sell them for me. Could be a cool hobby with an income..... I will post the results.
