It is!
First of all I am wary of anyone who doesn't "like" animals in general.
Second, I feel sorry for people who miss out on having animals in their life.
And third, it is sad especially for old people who have to give up their independence and their pets, whether it's a dog, cat, OR chicken!
 
I love this! My grandmother still talks about that night I brought Sesame with me to her house during the summer. She has a cat and dog, but I think she really wanted to keep Sesame. And I don’t guess I would mind if her cat and dog would leave her alone. Sesame is bigger than them, so it might not be an issue. A dogs are even wary of Sesame now after a couple of pecks and they never meant any harm with her.

It's me, i manage a group of four bantam faverolles hens and a roo for a palliative care/assisted living facility. Over the spring and summer I'd take my ladies and gentleman to therapy visit .Two of their little favs are laying now Sophia and Blanche. :)
