Me too. If I could my broody hen problem would be solved!

It has to be a usps approved manufacturers box, so probably she's going to have to order one from somewhere. I was reading all the rules for shipping birds and it's a pain in the butt.

Maybe call TSC, other than that, I'm not sure who would have something like that... maybe a local hatchery?

Here's my chicken math:
We have four chickens. One of them lays small eggs, so she's a negative one. The two ISA's lay well, and large eggs, so that brings me to a positive one. Dove, however, lays erratically(-1), lays in random spots(-1), lays small eggs(-1), and will go broody often(-1). So we're at -3. We want a flock of 9, so we need 12 more chickens.

I'd hate to think how many chickens I "need".

I fell your pain. I bought THREE LF cochin chicks earlier this year. I have no idea what I am going to do if/when they all try to go broody
Sigh, maybe some day I can expand the coop and then buy some hatching eggs

I'm probably going to end up one of those crazy old women with the house and the coop being one in the same. Just roll out of bed, grab an egg and start the day. Especially if hubs croaks before me, I'm NOT getting married again and I'm not high matinance so i could totally do it.

That was my ding dong that had to sit on frozen stuff! Took two days and i got a really good chance to get all the frost out of the freezer.

Here's a question. What do you call "Chicken Math" what you are thinking about expanding into other birds? This isn't a joke in progress. I really want to know.

It means they are like potato chips. You can't have just one. Next thing you know, you ate the whole bag. And you want to try more different ones.... you eat that whole bag. In the mean time you are constantly building coops. I used to have more than 20 coops, plus tractors and stalls lined with chicken wire in the barns....it is addictive!
