I'd bet a bunch of money that she'd be a great mommy hen! She fusses and squeaks but let's me do anything I want to her. She also loves to cuddle and be carried around.Oh I have only had two broody hens and both let me lift them to check the eggs and both were good mommys.
I would take a serious look at the weather before making arrangements.Okay question honest opinions.
Do you think it would be okay to ship chickens on Monday this close to Christmas from Alabama to Texas
I'm trying to Sam!I just remembered you don't have a rooster. If you like her and want to keep her break her from broody. My silky x when she is broody she is a boss and runs the others away even the bigger girls and she is small almost bantam size
I'm following that! Great thread. I container garden mostly. So i started a thread under gardening for older or disabled gardeners. People seem to be enjoying it and i am getting new ideas.![]()

Hi Ruby!Morning Squatchers!
She sounds perfect to me, a dream chicken.I'd bet a bunch of money that she'd be a great mommy hen! She fusses and squeaks but let's me do anything I want to her. She also loves to cuddle and be carried around.
She'd be a super indoor chicken because she loves being in the house, doesn't mind wearing discrete underpants and hunkers down in front of the tv if it's on and watches.
She's not at all afraid of the cat.
The dog doesn't really count because he's just a big sweet cuddle bug and he's been around the birds since day 1.
