Official Squatch Watchers

But non
I was reading on a post from 2007 where someone did this for a large bird and it took a long time and whole can of fluid. Not sure if they tried a box or face though. I bet it works great on chicks.

I don’t know what we’ll do. Hubby is almost home. Sesame is drinking, but I know she is uncomfortable. I will let her rest tonight and re-evaluate tomorrow.
I agree with just getting her settled for the night, comfy and warm and reevaluating tomorrow.
Even if she's somewhat uncomfortable, she's drinking and safe. And those are two very important things.
I am sending you both hugs.
You need to go to bed.
Turn out the light where she is so she can sleep too, she's probably very tired since it's WAY past a chicken's bedtime. :hugs:hugs

I am going to bed too. I don’t think I cried this much over my 12 yo toy poodle when I had her put to sleep. I have cried all day over this chicken. Hubby asked if there was a vet that saw chickens, and I think there is. It was very sweet of him to offer. But it doesn’t make good sense to spend $100+ because if I am going to have chickens this is just part of it. Someone have frozen spoons ready for my eyes tomorrow morning. They will be swollen up like a toad frog.

@Sassysouth :hugs

Well I’m still awake. I’ve been listening to the milk drinker breathing. He is all stuffed up and very restless, though asleep. He tried nursing but couldn’t because he couldn’t breathe through his nose. So, of course, the NoseFrida (a type of snot sucker) disappeared and I was running around like a crazy lady looking for it. Fortunately, he fell more deeply asleep while I was looking and I did find the durned thing. I have it by the bed in case I need to use it later.

I’m so glad I don’t have to work tomorrow.

Hey everyone.
I'm really sorry for all of you who are losing and have lost chickens! That pain is so hard to bear.@sassysouth, right now is the hardest part, when you realize they aren't going t make it. My heart goes out to you! @Capricorn farm, that really sucks!I'm so sorry both of you have to go through that. @Redhead Rae, feel better soon! Migraines suck. A lot. Also, hope your milk drinker feels better soon too!@TexasSam, congats on the chick!! I'm sure we could all use some pics:)
I had a fairly good day yesterday. We got to go to six flags for holiday in the park, which was awesome. I accidentally ate a bug on one of the rides, but oh well. However, my youngest brother had to go to the er because he was coughing so much.

I am up and here. I hope Sesame made it through the night and is perkier today.

Sassy, I had a favorite bird that became very sick. I just couldn't do the deed. My vet was very kind and put her down without charging an arm and leg. Just a thought.
:hugs

Ruby I hope your kid brother is feeling better. There are some mean viruses running around this year.

Today will be dog bath and haircut day so I will be in and out. Not much hair trimming really just their beards and leg fringes.

:hugs if anyone needs one.
