Welp, the TATERholes in the incubator, the ones who pecked open an egg WAY to soon, has pecked the baby so much they pulled its insides out. Jeebus, pray I can cull this baby chick......

Sunday is supposed to hit 28* but then the humidity goes up too. The coop has a peaked roof with 2 large vents in the gable ends. It wasn’t originally a coop... When the roof got replaced small gaps showed up at the top of the short walls but they probably aren’t enough. If it were my building I’d go out with a drill bit and make holes to vent properly. But it’s not so for now my poor babies have no choice.
Vet rxWhat was the medicine for hens with sinus problems rj told me about it a few days ago
I won't be here another winter. I'm going to torture the boys (catch them) tomorrow and go with coconut oil instead of bag balm. It has healing and anti-.... properties so hopefully that will help.Do it , and blame it on bugs if it's wood and bb's if it's metal. Desperate times call for desperate measures. If it's just little drill holes you can probably patch it back good as new anyways.![]()
HOLY TATERS
Geez oh Pete you are frozen through and through!
Gotta just keep doing what ya can for the birds. Straw, grass hay, lots of shavings that's bout all you can do FNF. Or start knitting fast.
