I just got my electric bill and it's $155 (small 2 bd apt w baseboard heat) for December. I'm really hoping they estimated it b/c it's never been that high before, ever and we've been here for 6 years.

Go look at the numbers on your meter if you can. My parents got a $2000 bill once. The person checking meters inverted two numbers. It was a big fight but they got the bill corrected.

Y’all! I brought Yeti to the other side to bond with the youngens. The cockerels have yet to determine who the boss is, but I know who it is. I saw Yeti throw those wings to the ground and do a shuffle, several times!!! It was so funny and so precious! I have never seen it before!
On another note, this Orpington is taking up too much space and got a hold of the youngens. I just don’t have the room for that monster. Thinking that Merek’s is possibly present in my flock, I cannot sell her.

The frostbite saga continues...

Captain who first got small blisters on the last points is looking better.

And poor Trouble who is looking worse. His waddles are swollen at the bottom. Both sides of the back portion of his comb is fluid filled. They have both been getting the same treatment so not sure why they are reacting different.

Poor boys.

I will when I get home. I need to check my actual bill to see if it's real or estimated. Since the meters are inside they usually check them, but occ they get lazy and don't. The email I get just says how much it is and when it's due, nothing about if it's estimated or not. It was super cold there for a while and I couldn't turn the heat down while I was at work b/c the kids were home, but that still seems high... My kids will have to learn to wear actual clothes..

Maybe Trouble puts off more heat through his comb than Captain.. Odin's comb is very warm and melts off the bag balm pretty quickly. Poor little guy.

He has tired himself out and nursed to sleep. He isn’t asleep enough to put down in the crib yet. He is sleep-nursing.
