I'm so sorry Smuvs! That must be awful!

I just went out to see the chickens for the first time. Dove definitely has frostbite, and it's not looking good. I got some coconut oil, but now I'm faced with a predicament: How the heck do I get it on her? She kept on dodging her head around. She was too busy trying to eat the coconut oil to let me put it on her.

I have still put coconut oil on the combs of my boys. Very gingerly let it melt over their poor heads. They are all greasy but I swear it's helping.
I also let them eat a little blob. Some of the kids seem to like it. Mmm coconutty.

I have a suggestion, please forgive I don't want to sound insensitive. What if you set up a temporary video camera, or use a baby monitor. Please don't be angry, just a suggestion :love
There was a guy on BYC that had a camera in his coop! (A Nest brand lol) I would love to do that. It would be great for remote viewing if there is a strange noise at night or just chicken tv all day long.

I am real sorry Smuvs. :(

So, Yeti (white bantam cochin 14 weeks old) starts giving off a warning call. Whitey and Smokey (2- 14 wk old Silkies) chime in too!!! I finally had to shut that noise down. You think those 2 Silkies may be boys???? Yeah, I know, hard to tell, wait until 6 months, blah, blah, blah. Don’t tell me that.

I want to do that too!!! Our wifi doesn’t go that far and I use an extension cord, when necessary, for electricity. If I saw someone getting picked on it would kill me not to do anything!!!
There is one for dogs and you can pop a treat to them.
