Official Squatch Watchers

I have a really mixed flock. No plans on breeding so I can do that. :plbb
2 Brown Leghorns (5+ y/o), Barnyard Mix, 2 Black Copper Marans, 2 Wheaten Ameraucana (all 1), Olive Egger, Svart Hona B. Cochin cross, 3 Swedish Flower Hens, Bantam Cochin (all hatched this year) And 2 Swedish Flower Roosters.
White eggs, pinkish egg, Dark Brown Speckled egg (grade 4), Olive egg (of course) Cream eggs, no egg yet from my littlest lady (even though she was laying before I got her)

Not confirmed. The necropsy showed lymphoma throughout, very consistent with Merek’s.

I have read up and mentally know it is not my fault. I know I could have birds live a great life and never have symptoms. I just have conflicting feelings and trying to proceed on.
This is how I feel about it. If you choose to grow your flock because it’s something that you enjoy ( which, HELLLLOOOOO, is why you’re here), that’s fine.
Just keep it closed. No trading, selling or giving away.

BOTH beautiful birds! I’m so jealous of all of you guys and gals with all the nifty DIVERSITY you have. I love my girls, I do, but they are just “your basics”.

I feel your pain Banty.
I have 31 females and all but 2 are under 3 years old.
I collect my precious 2 to 4 eggs every evening while I grumble about freezers and crock pots.
:lau I think I need to print out a picture of last fall's meat harvest and put it in the coop.

Lovely flock!
At the moment, I think I have:
Silver AMs
Partridge Chanteclers
White leghorns
Olive egger
Buncha mutts
OEGBs
Silkie
Dominique
Probably a few others too. Oh, and nine ducks. All of different breeds/varieties.

Rooting for spider baby, cuz that window and those baseboards are just right for a leg or foot up for an escape. It won't take more than a few days of boredom and he'll be out roaming the place at the most inopportune time.
Gah, I didn't think about the window. I'll have to keep an eye on it. The front porch roof is outside, but we have a steel roof and it is a good 12-15 ft from the edge to the ground.
I’m gonna practice being a grandma here. :old
That fan! :eek:RAE! Please !get that fan and the electric cord AWAY from my favorite little Milk Drinker! :hit:hit:hit:hit:hit:hit

Eeek, thanks for the reminder! I've got all the cords around the bed wrapped up properly. Didn't think about that one.
