I think I did pretty well on the English 10H exam, now about to go to the AP Euro exam.
Dad used to make us sit there until we ate our dinner. Once after i ate it, i threw it all up on my plate. After that he quit making me eat stuff.
My kids are pretty good not to picky. They know I expect them to try anything new before they say yuckI have issues with the youngest taking mounds of food and then leaving large amounts wasted. So, he has to finish whatever HE serves himself. Might take until the next day but he has to. It's worked well and there's no longer whole sandwiches going to the chickens.
He's picky too. I have a policy that he has to have one bite. He doesn't have to have more, but he should at least try it with a good attitude, eh? For a while he would only eat hotdogs, rice, and noodles.Kids. I refuse to give in though and he's getting better.
Wooooot! I'm so proud! 35 complaints were made on me from 1 single CNA. Night after night she came in complaining about dumb, dumb stuff. I'm thinking she lost her mind? She wasn't employed before i left the first time so she had nooo idea lol! Last Thursday she came in absolutely rambling, crazy eyed and actually palm pushed me...nope. I calmly asked her to gather her things and go home i walked her to the outside gate and deactivated her badge once she was out. Lol hysteria ensued, i told her pending a clean drug scan she would be allowed access again...i added that it would be scheduled for first thing Friday morning. She did not pass, so i weeded out a tweeker.Go me! Btw i don't have anything against anyone's habits, just don't let your habit palm push me.![]()
Nice!I took a picture of the quilt i made in 2001 while recovering from my hysterectomy. Took 6 weeks! View attachment 1243628
Smuvers, is it possible they are still stressed over the predator attack and it caught up to her along with another congenital anomaly? The temp fluctuations can be pretty stressful as well as trying to find a new pecking order after seeing the the attack, especially if it was the top hen that was dispatched by the predator. If she had an underlying condition, she could have succumbed more easily to it.
Misty, if you can sew, you can quilt. Just like sewing, there are patterns you can get, and even quilt kits that you can get, either the whole thing at once, or in sections (though you have to get all the sections in a short amount of time or they'll have a different quilt kit before you're done getting all the pieces you need). I suggest looking at/getting some quilting magazines to start, they usually have patterns. You can also go to the library or the bookstore and read some books. Mostly it takes time. Something else you can do is knit or crochet an afghan. The best part about that is after a bit you get to start keeping warm while working in it, and you can set it aside with the instructions when the weather is too warm. I did a 10 year afghan, cuts that's how long it took with young kids, and now I'm working on what is turning out to be a 2 yr afghan, since I've only been working on it in cooler weather. I plan on doing a crocheted version of Gurtrude after that, and then an afghan for a friend's little girl that they are working on adopting. If u find the right yarn, I'll do a crocheted version of Lizbeth. She's a little harder since she's a gold laced. I know the brand and color of yarn I want, I just have to find it.
I always hated when a woman blinks with only one eye when she is talking. It's scaryAnyone else ain't done a damn thing yet needs a nap?!
