Wooooot! I'm so proud! 35 complaints were made on me from 1 single CNA. Night after night she came in complaining about dumb, dumb stuff. I'm thinking she lost her mind? She wasn't employed before i left the first time so she had nooo idea lol! Last Thursday she came in absolutely rambling, crazy eyed and actually palm pushed me...nope. I calmly asked her to gather her things and go home i walked her to the outside gate and deactivated her badge once she was out. Lol hysteria ensued, i told her pending a clean drug scan she would be allowed access again...i added that it would be scheduled for first thing Friday morning. She did not pass, so i weeded out a tweeker.Go me! Btw i don't have anything against anyone's habits, just don't let your habit palm push me.;)
:clap

@MrsMistyReal Is there a quilting or fabric shop in your town? Many of them offer classes on quilt making.

@Chickassan You rock. Seriously. My mom and mil are breast cancer survivors. People like you who who donate time or money are absolute heros in my eyes.

@Anansi @FlyingNunFarm I uses linolium sticky backk tiles in my coop floor too! A few need to be replaced now but they were super cheap and make cleanup much easier. Also FWIW my dad had a shed coop, it was really nice!

Okay squatchers, need more opinions on what is wrong with my baby. I have cured her lice infestation (yay!) But I am still really concerned about the feather loss. Hubby said we got six eggs yesterday (and we only have 6 hens), so I am thinking molting is out of the question? Do you think another hen is doing this? I am so worried :hit

Oh thank goodness the shipment of superworms finally came! I couldn't step out of the door without getting mobbed and even after showing empty hands i still had a herd following me! The faverolles will actually wedge themselves between your feet while you're walking. I might have to try one of those worms for myself! Hobo the dominique hasn't been acting right, almost timid when she's usually a little monster. I picked her up and just a ton of feathers came out so she's molting. Not going to lie its weirding me out, i hate when personalities flip flop! That's why i love the derp herd so much, always derps.;)

My g'ma died of breast cancer in the 90s. Cancer is a beast.

Feather picking.

Noooooooooo what do I do Banty?!

Edited to add: should I move her to the quarantine coop?
Find the feather picker and chop her head off. If they're pets you might look into pinless peepers, or removing her from the flock permanently. Sometimes if a bird is sickly or weird the others will bully it.

I am kind of worried as to WHY we aren't hearing anything. Their coops and run are basically right out our bedroom window..... if they were ever up in arms, we should hear them or the dogs should or something.....
Sorry u lost a chicken Smuv. Quite a mystery! I have a mystery too! Today i went in to feed the guineas and there was blood on the floor ! One of the guineas either got bit by something or got its foot hurt somehow. Blood on floor, on perches etc. No catching whichever one to check it out but they were all walking ok today.
