Yeah, it's awesome, but pretty much uninhabited except for the workers.. not much out there either, just a beach & a little shop to buy junk. Only time I ever swam in an ocean. Still creeped out by the idea of what could have been in there.
Did you ever see the story of the lady who lives on a cruise ship? Now, THAT is the dream.
I bet she is cannot get off the ship from eating all that food.

Ack, a cruise ship? No way!

I'm scared of the ocean. Sure, I love the edge of it, but the idea of getting so far away from land all you can see is water? That's nightmare material. Flat and yet infinitely deep. I like my craggy mountains and trees. :love

Wow Banty! I had no idea where Labrador was and now I am all kinds of learned.
Lol I wondered about the chooks going along.

That is a huge reason I don't travel unless forced. Well there's the panic attacks too.

RJ, You have had some great adventures! I love hearing about the other countries! Grilled cheese! Who would have thought it would be such an experience. I am glad she got her sammich.
I am happy to know you have seen many places and got to know some really great people along the way!

The trip to Oregon I got to stick my toes in the ocean. It was early spring and very cold water. There were jelly fish washed ashore so we had to be careful.

It's a lovely place. I am surprised more people don't live there.

Oooo, I love this topic! I really don't travel much.. I get anxiety about going places I haven't been before so it's hard for me to just go places. My best vaca (and only one as an adult) was for my honeymoon my ex and I went on a Disney Land & Sea vaca. It was the best thing ever! We spent 4 days in the disney parks, then had a 4 day cruise where we went to the bahamas, and castaway cay, which is Disney's private island. It was a lot of fun and the food was amazing. I'd love to go back and take my kids someday. I'm hoping I can afford a trip to Disney next year. We went to Disneyland when we visited my brother, but it isn't the same.. plus it's sooo hard to fit everything into one day. We only went on like 5 rides the whole day and spent more time standing in line for food than anything else.
Hubby's family always went to Disney his sis just got back & she's in her 60s. I hope to go one day
