Wow thanks I appreciate all your help. I look forward to getting back into this.Misty, Not wanting you to be scammed please remember that the premade little coops are horribly made and they do not tell the truth about how many they really house.

Oh no! I’m sorryI had to cull hook beak![]()
My original run was 16x4x6 with 4 regular hens, and they needed more room. My coop is 6x4x6 and was more than enough room. Where we are, invest more thought in a larger run, because that is where they will spend most of their time, especially if you can cover it. That is just my opinion.Yes plus I'm thinking predators, rats, snakes, lizards, shade isn't a problem
We built one similar and I bet we spent $700 easy, but it is rock solid. Since you don’t have chicks now, you have time to look and price around. I have a 2x6 prefab run I bought for some ducks that I rescued, and it is wobbly as all get out. There are all kinds of ideas to make secure coops without breaking the bank. The good thing is, you have time.Oh wow I love that ok that's the better way to go. I was just thinking cost factor, but when you put it that way ok, thank you![]()
