She was eating a drinking it just took her longer and the others were almost twice her size. She has been leaving the others for a few days now and hiding but calling mom. Well today when I got back from Bass pro she was laying on her side and I just made a choice :(
So sorry to read this Sam. But you did make the right -but difficult - decision.
:hugsBig hugs.

When I was out at yard sales I stopped at one specifically to check out what the guy had because the ad on my yard sale app said CHICKEN COOP.
it was this one. https://www.omlet.us/shop/chicken_keeping/eglu_go_up/

It made me sad because the guy said they had 4 full size chickens in there and that one of the kids must have closed the door to the TINY coop and they were stuck in the TINY RUN ALL NIGHT.
he said a raccoon reached through the wire and popped the heads off two of them from the outside aparently and then got in and killed the other two. I asked if the apron was pinned down and he said he "never got around to it".
He wanted it gone. His kids were traumatized.
Dang.
No I didn't buy it. I only take $20 with me.

He wanted $50.

Although the coop part of it would have been nice to put inside a SECURE RUN for a broody hen and chicks maybe...

Edited to add- it was only about 4 square feet inside -IF THAT.

Morning Stacey.

Did you get a bunch completed?

I know its a pain when its raining all day.

I have a colossal to do list. I have been sick a very long time so haven't been getting much done. I am resigned to finally going to the doctor.
Extreme fatigue along with randomly occurring chest pain. I really don't want to go to the doctor. Its just gotten to be to much this last month.

Don't go worrying bout me. I am a tough old bird.

First of all you aren't old!

And not really!

It was mostly moving stuff from one part of the attic to another lol.
Peeking in boxes.
Arguing about getting rid of stuff.
I think I said "UGH!" at least 200 times.
We need to have a massive yard sale!

The problem is that since I go to them all the time and this is a town that's CRAZY for yardsales, DH would have to actually HELP ME and he's not crazy about "talking to strangers" and you definitely need more than 1 person to accomplish it.
People tell me they wake up to a dozen cars in front of their house by 4 am waiting.

There are a lot of antique and shabby chic stores here. They hire pickers to go to yardsales and those people are not thought of very highly because they are rude and pushy and have a reputation of just loading stuff into their trucks while you're busy putting stuff out -so basically stealing - then lowballing you on a price.

I basically need to hire someone tough to sit at the end of the driveway and hold them at bay til I'm ready.

I just need to psyche myself up for it I guess.

Also I am definitely ready to get rid of stuff. DH is not.

Morning squatchers. Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Lots of stuff has been going on. I'm among the top five scores on my AP Bio midterm! That's the only one I have news on, however. Last night we ordered chicks! They're coming in on the twelfth of February, three weeks from now, which means they're being set right about now! That just kinda warms my heart. The grand total:
1 easter egger(mine)
2 Salmon Faverolles(1 for me, one for my 11yo sis)
4 buff orpingtons(2 for the 12yo brother, 2 for the teacher we're splitting the order with
2 Black australorps(for my 9y0 brother)
2 Barred Rocks(for the teacher)
2 Silver laced Wyandottes(ditto)

I'm so excited!!!
On a less happy note, my 55 gallon aquarium is experiencing an ich and fin rot epidemic. I know why it happened. I was lazy about quarantining new fish, and they introduced the disease.

Oh no Ruby.
I had a disease break out in my aquariums several years ago. Horrible to deal with.
I tried all the meds that were supposed to treat it. I ended up taking everything out and boiling the rocks and decorations, replacing all the air lines and filter materials then doing a fully fresh water refill. It was awful but stopped the spread.

Ruby we love your updates!!
Way to go girlfriend, on that so. Up exam!!!
The chicks sound so exciting- and good idea to split the order with a teacher.
ehat can you do about the ick with the fish?
Do fish antibiotics help with that?
