Well crap! The dead bird curse has struck again.
My leghorn is no more.

No idea what went wrong as she was fine this morning.
She was almost 3 so for a leghorn I am not surprised to lose her.

Sorry 21, it always stinks to lose a bird.

Good had a long day interviewing which I'm not fond of. Hate hearing sob stories and feeling bad about not hiring them. The good thing is my wife helped me pick so it's not all on me

Picking up some canning jars and tattler lids. They seem to work extremely well in a steam canner. We had no issues with our tester batch.

ETA: Anyone know where to get bulk jars purdy cheap???

Sugar free cinnamon apple sauce.... and it's SOOOO gooooooooood! An we aren't apple sauce people! I got 4 & 1/2 pints. Canned 4 pints and we ate the other 1/2 in less than 48 hours...... I've left the jars alone so we could test the tattlers and they aren't budging....so YAY we get to open another jar....
