I go days without bathing. For me, it wears me out and, at times, it's quite painful to my skin. I will say, at NO time do I stink.

It sucked. Our house in TN had 3 bathtubs, 2 of which were in the same bathroom. Here we have 2 bathrooms with showers. Showers suck. The pressure is not high enough to make it a good shower. I turn it on totally hot water and its not really as hot as i like it.

Check the hot water heater!
If the people that lived there before you had children, they may have it turned down to prevent accidental scalding.
Also you might want to look into the Speakman brand of shower heads. A lot of hotels have them. The original is the "anystream".
If you have a well and you aren't paying for water by the gallon, the flow restrictor inside can easily be popped out (videos available online).

I couldn't live in a house with a bad shower.
