I did my best with the frostbite. I feel really bad about it. That was the biggest section so hopefully it will heal up now. Didn’t have anything else to powder him with. It worked.

You did good. It stopped bleeding so it worked.

Frostbite sux! Corn starch, flour or styptic powder will stop the bleeding. You chose your powder well.

As to ganders being mean....... Mine never was. He would try and intimidate but never bit or flogged.

@KikisGirls poop looks much improved today!! Thanks!!

Now, Stank Breath Maddie, that is leading to everyone having their own person can of spray in the living room and their nose tucked in the neck of their shirt... I am taking her to the vet or at least giving them a call tomorrow, but her gums are now bleeding in 2 places. Anything you know of to stop it?

Take a paper towel and put pressure on it.

If there were a less violent way to do the deed I might be able to. I doubt it though. I can’t eat chicken if it still looks like chicken! I admit I’m a big softy with spoiled pets.
This is the main reason that I take a pair of lompers and cut the cockerels heads off after the blood is finished draining because scalding and plucking a chicken with its head still on is hard for me.

She won’t let me. She bites. Her teeth are just rotten and probably has an infection.

My cute, cuddly looking rooster jumped up like he was going to get me today! But he thought twice.

I am not one to live of the land, so to say, because I am a bit lazy and would rather be doing something else. If I had to, I could.
