Dude, I felt so....totally manipulative saying that. That I had to preface it by saying "I am totally not being manipulative, BUT..."

But I am so serious. I need something to look forward to, and hatching a few more little tiny chicks will make me feel better, get back into the happy part of the Circle of Life thing. I swear it's not a seasonal thing; my chicken nipples are not doing their spring lactation (oh dear gods, I hope this is not a seasonal thing, please tell me it is not!). :duc

I really need some happy, peeping little miracle-of-life-force business going on, ya know? And--they're small (really small) so they don't count.
Chicken nipples

FYI...I was alerted to this off of a legit story from the veterinary journal Clinician's Brief (which is a scientific, peer-reviewed, evidence-based publication).

The quick and dirty (I'd have to look for the original publication). But it's for real, and it's not the first time this has happened in the pet food industry:

There are a LOT of different brands listed (check them) that are under the parent company manufacturer. No more Milk Bones for my pups (which I have been feeding my dogs for like 40 years!) Scary stuff, really crazy....

Pentobarb--or Blue Juice, as us vets call it--is THE euthanasia drug that all vets use to put animals to sleep. Obviously, it has no use in pet food....!

Dr. PBM :)
The Smuckers corperation owns a bunch of the low end brands.
They came out with an extremely lame apology today and tossed the blame onto one of their “suppliers”.

Now I am totally gonna have to check out your coop story!

I only need a small one Stace, I already have two good-sized ones! I mean, I could probably house them with the Originals and the (not-so) Littles (anymore), but I'm afraid they would get stepped on or pecked....I mean, they are SO TINY.

Ah, chickens. :) I just tucked em in for the night, and I love that part of the evening and the ritual of it.
Me too!

Oh i know lol! The year of everything here I totally did not manipulate my husband either. I did explain my extreme need for chicken therapy, got the coop and first 4. Next year around the same time got sad again, expanded the coop and ordered derp eggs. It's getting close again, March to be exact and I'm already planning. Your chicken nipples are in for a bad day. But i swear on my tatered up life it helps so much. :)

I better go. The hubs is so bored (and getting that "Really-are-you-still-on-BYC-loser-girl!" look on his face) that he is sitting here playing Missy Elliot's "Get Your Freak On" over and over on my acoustic guitar. And over. This is a song that should never be played on an acoustic, BTW.

Love ya, g'nite Squatchy Peeps! :love

Good night PBM! Dream chicken dreams!
