I'm so sorry Smuv. It is never easy losing a loved one, no matter how expected.

:hugs

My grandmother was 93 when she passed away a little over a year ago. She was ill for quite some time.

In 2004, during my senior year of school, my paternal grandfather (who we were caring for) died.
In 2005, during summer break, my paternal grandmother (who we were also caring for) died.
In 2006, during summer break, my maternal grandfather died. We weren't caring for him because he had Alzheimers and needed special care.
The next year, we all held our breath, anxious that my maternal grandmother would pass away.
She outlived my grandfather by just over 10 years. She was able to come to my wedding, and lived to see my son. :hit

Yawning! The wife and I stayed out late last night took her to a fancy restaurant and spent way to much for dinner. Then we walked around the city and enjoyed the sights. Fort Worth is such a nice and clean place to be a metropolitan city. As you can see I may have been tipsy

65* today and first dry day. over 9.5" of rain this month... 5 in the last three days. My spinach, kale and carrots are trying to come back. Just finished weeding the garden as I need to get some peas, lettuces, spinach and greens planted outside and tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage and herbs started inside. I need to figure out where and how to move the piggies after all this rain. Thinking about tossing out and digging in some shelled corn in the compost area, closing it off and opening it up to the pigs. Will likely annoy the chickens, but they seem ok together. My 5' tall, 6'X6' pile of black gold was discovered by the chickens a few months ago... It's now pretty flat. I aged that for two years to use in the garden. ARG:he Figuring let the piggies de-root and till that area and maybe plant corn and sunflowers there. Then put them to work tilling up the greenhouse and then eventually the pond.
