THE STORY OF TATERHOLE HUBBY (or, why I may end up in jail)

Quick rundown. DH and I met, both coming off BAD breakups. We basically walked into a relationship with nothing to either or our names. And I mean, like, maybe 1/10th of what 2 people in their late 20s/early 30s should have.

Well, one of the first gifts I ever gave him was a ratchet set and a HUGE tool box. Over the years I have built that thing up to where it is OVER full. I bet there is even 8 of the same wrenches somewhere!

My problem. NO TOOLS can ever be found because DH NEVER puts his tools back. I mean EVER! So, we probably have 8 of the same wrench simply because the others are *missing*. The other day, PIC and I went outside on the ONE nice day to rip some boards (I have about 5 projects dancing in my head currently). It took us AN HOUR to find 3 simple tools.... a measuring tape, a speed square and a tatering PENCIL. No joke.

NOW, here's the rub. DH says he KNOWS where everything is.... so *I* don't need to worry about where he puts *HIS* tools. His *losing* of his most BASIC of tools pushed me into buying myself a small, indoor tool kit (hammer, nails, measuring tape, basic stuff)... which he borrows because he can't find HIS OWN CHIT!!!!! :barnie:barnie

He forced my hand a few nights ago when he couldn't find his dremel. A dremel that has literally been plugged in and charging in our kitchen for at least the last year. And now, the dremel is missing and I know I have never used it.

Because of this, I have literally bought my own BIG tool box. I also bought a couple locks and DO plan on locking it up. Y'all think I'm being childish or does the actions of the DH warrant such a huge leap?! I just think, if I asked ANYONE to borrow a screw driver, they wouldn't direct me to their detached garage, sitting on top of an old refrigerator. I assume it's gonna be in their tool box!

So, what say you guys? :pop

OH... and you guys...... PIC and I were laying in bed 2 days ago (shuddup), and we heard a chicken HONKING... I'm thinking, WTF did we get a goose...... IT'S ONE OF THE PEEPS!!! Our 5 member flock has a rooster trying to crow... yet NO ONE in the main run is crowing.... and BYC members claimed Holy as a roo!!! I'm freaking out... it's SO CUTE to hear.... honk whonk honk! It's such a lovely sound

Girl, I know never a tool to be had here either even though we've had over twenty years of tool collecting. I've got a crappy little set I hide like a flipping squirrel. Hubs puts stuff in his building for years and dosent touch it then wonders why it doesn't work when he needs it or just buys "mentally challenged" crap and does the same. We just bought a cement mixer, i don't even know why.

Hello everyone,

I am so taterin' tired. The last 2 nights the Milk Drinker has had "wiggle time" were he is awake but not eager to get up. He just rolls around, messing with me or DH or kicking o punching us when he is writhing about trying to get comfortable. I swear, the more uncomfortable we are, the more comfortable he is. To make it worse, I couldn't even sleep in when he did (because he spent so much of the night keeping us awake). I've had to get up and work. I'm just now getting him down for his nap. He tried to go to sleep about 4.5 hours ago, but he had a poopy diaper that needed changing and he thoroughly woke up during that process.

In other news, we still have all 18 of our fluff butts! They are now 1.5 weeks old, so their chances of survival look pretty good! Tomorrow, we are kicking the 6 chicks I hatched in Dec out of the outdoor coop and moving the fluff butts in. I also have eggs to candle in a bit. I hope this batch of Cornish eggs are fertile, and the eggs I started 2 weeks ago are still growing.:fl I'll let you know ho it is going.

This is one of the best inventions for ice and snow. I have one and it’s totally worth the money. You can find them on QVC and Amazon. Don’t cheap out and buy the imitation.

thanks I was thinking I needed something like this, saved me a bunch of legwork... ok finger work :ya

This is really messed up....you know my tatered-up job that I'm leaving (or have been trying to leave for the past month and a half!) is working at this urban high school in the 'hood....well one of my friends I work with, her husband is a cop just told me this. I don't watch the news or listen to it, because it just depresses me. Apparently, the kid that did it is in my school, and the cops came today and arrested him, right in the classroom (I called in today, as I am burning through as many sick days as I can before I am gone there).

ASBURY PARK SHOOTING LEAVES CHILD DEAD : Ridge Avenue shooting scene | 0:27
A 10-year-old child was killed and a 39-year-old woman was injured by gunfire Wednesday night.

She said my school was on lockdown. It's crazy. We are always in the news. It's really sad. I wonder if it's one of the kids I know...I hope not. :(

Two and a half more weeks and I am OUTTA there!!!!
That is horrifying! We will all be glad when you are done there!
