“They” say treats shouldn’t be more then 10% of their diet. So say 8 cups of fruits and veggies 2-3 times a week. 20 cups a week between 9 chickens. That’s 1/3 cup per chicken per day....
Can you say this a different way.
You have me all confused here.. I am just not getting it.

Little green bug? No...those awful Asian lady bugs. They are orange and stink when you squish them. They love my house.

That’s just one window. They currently love my bathroom....

I wonder if the home defense spray on the window frames outside will hold them at bay.

She is a 8 month old Bluebar.

I give them " treats" ( veggies and fruits) 5 or 6 times a week. 2 pie pans of chopped veggies or fruits shared by 9 chickens

Don't think she is any more of a piggie than the rest of them.

I would cut the treats to about 1/3rd of that and see if that helps.
I also read about oats being a bad thing.

That is too much treats in my opinion.

I would agree totally.
30 birds here get 2 cups of scratch to share each day and if I am giving other treats they don't get any that day. Other treats are given in the same amount that the scratch would have been.

Basically when you feed treats they eat less of the feed and the feed is a higher Concentration of vitamin that they need. So to much treats are bad. The feed is mixed with everything a chicken needs and treats are not. Don’t get me wrong treats are fine in small amount
