I can tell you that I will never buy eggs at the Vietnamese place ever again.
Now I am terrified to even crack one of the quail eggs I bought too!

I am still shocked that they sell these things for eating!

It didn't look dark enough to be a balut egg. They are almost fully formed little duckies.
Looked more like just started to me. Not sure they would incubate.
And I probably would not eat it either.

Thanks for the post. I was having a melt down moment when I asked for a person to talk to. I was calmer even by the time I called Cappy. (She might think I'm super crazy as I cried and did the "not right in the head" laugh)

I have no idea. I have never in my life looked in to an egg before today.
