Official Squatch Watchers

I'm about to just let these chicks run the house to eat these seed moths! Stupid things just fly in front of your face and hang out. Publix was almost out of birdseed, like the shelves were nearly empty...I think I know why!
Have you tried:

You can get them from local sources too. Orchard Supply and Hardware has them here

Nope, I didn't even know they made traps for the suckers. I haven't had the things since the cockatiel passed, didn't miss them either. ;)

I keep the traps all the time. I replace them every three months because the moths are very bad here for some reason. I do keep all grains in zip lock bags and a lot of it in the freezer. Still they are around! I have had them get into spice jars!

I had to “go back” to my old days as a vet tech.
I would have enjoyed working with you.

Oh for sure! You're *much* nicer than most of the vet techs I've worked with! For some reason, small animal vet people can be incredibly catty. Like old ICU nurses.

When I got my first job as a vet, one of the women I worked with had a parrot who died. That was my first paid (as in, not done in veterinary school) necropsy. It took me two hours, lol....I did it vet school style, with my anatomy book open next to my tools and the laid-open bird. I wanted to get it perfect. My ex-boss was I'm sure like WTH??!! but I was brand-new in the profession and wanted to do it just right, lol (he turned out to be a major D-bag anyway, so it was all good, ha).

Yours sounded quick and efficient and thorough. And you arrived at a diagnosis, which for a non-veterinary-pathologist is pretty darn impressive, IMO!

Ok, the usps hates my mail. Box from scratch and peck was wrecked, Amazon box "still not my missing one!" looked like someone tried to open it. Its just pulleys so ha! ha!ha! mail fondler! The only thing not bummed up was a bag of oyster shells. What in the heck? I put in a redelivery on the lost package even though I didn't have a number, we shall see if it shows up.

My sweet Flower (MFD, my favorite chicken) got attacked by a hawk...it was awful but I did emergency treatment and I think she's gonna live...my friend the vet tech just happened to come by to take the babies right after this happened so she helped me.

I may be a little scarce for awhile so that's why. TTYS XO

Oh that is awful! But I am so glad she has such a smart, skilled mama to care for her :hugs:hugs:hugs

Break time...... I'm thinking this was a bad week to do this since I already pulled all the friggen muscles in my shoulder and pec the weekend before..... all this scraping is wearing me out... I hope to hell I am not stiff as a board tomorrow morning.
I wish i could help you but i am in no shape to do anything. Hugs. Soak in a hot epsoms salt tub.
