I seriously HATE one of my mom's horses. Tuxson is a 17-18 year old OTT Thoroughbred gelding. My sister got him when he was 6-7 years old and he was a complete nut case. He made her into the rider she is today (she is a jockey at Pen National) but she could never get him to show because he wouldn't perform at events. She seriously regrets not selling him when one offered her $10,000 for him about 5 years ago. Well, he is now retired and living here as one of my mom's "lawn ornaments". The other horse, Ninabell, is a 5 year old OTT Thoroughbred, but she is a sweet girl.
Well my parents were out of town through the weekend and will be until Wednesday and I'm feeding the horses and their cat. Well, just a little while ago, I went out to feed them. I took a bale of hay into their run in and Tuxson ran in and tried to knock the bale out of my hands and me into the wall. When I told him to GIT he turned his back to me and threatened to kick me. I had to pop the twine off the bale and start whippng that around to get him away from me. When I brought his grain, I was reaching over the fence and trying to knock the bucket out of my hands. I grabbed a lead rope and started twirling it over my head and whacking the ground with it to make him give me some space. I made him stand away for a full minute after I filled the bucket before I let him at it, he then started trying to crowd me when I was filling the other Ninabell's bucket and I had to do the same thing. I let her close and made him stand off. My mom told me to tell him tomorrow that if he hurts anyone, she will shoot him when she comes back.
My mom gave me permission to feed them over the fence even though it will be raining and to walk away with their grain if he starts acting up. Ninabell is a little overweight, so it won't hurt her any to go without the grain.
Did I say I really HATE that horse?
