Official Squatch Watchers

Coffee and water are on, and there are pancakes and French toast (dairy and gluten free, as usual) waiting for everyone. Slow cookers have preaches and cream oatmeal, and apple cobbler. Bagels and assorted muffins are on the counter, and all of the other goodies are in their normal places.

See y'all in a little while, sleep, NASCAR and sewing will be calling my name today. :love:hugs

For those needing a happy pic...

Gurtrude, freshly bathed, dried and happy (cuz dirt baths just don't do any good if the dirt is broken). She got her bugs after she was dry, and she and Lizbeth had an extra 2 hours kitchen chicken time this evening.

For those who were not here when exhibit A was posted, here it is:

Exhibit A - Broken dirt

:hugs:hugs:love:love

Beautiful girl! :love

Lost a hen during the night.
Bummed since it was one of my one year old red Cochin gals.

Good weight, no injuries, good feathering, no symptoms prior to passing, no mites/lice, good feed and clean water, full crop.
She was on the small size for the breed as is my other red one. Now I am on the super vigilant watch with the others.

No I do not wish to necropsy. If I lose another I will.

It is rare for me to lose any.

So sorry :hugs

Check out my new thread, BYC style Myth Busters! Right now i am testing the idea that washing hatching eggs is harmful.

Sounds fun!
I’m feeling better thank God.

Glad you are feeling better!

Good morning, my sweet peeps! I gotta get out of the house today, so just a quickie. :)

@Smuvers Farm, sent you a PM about Buddy. Keep us posted on how he's doing and what the vet says!

@21hens-incharge, I'm so sorry about the loss of your baby. That sucks. :hugs :hit

@TexasSam, I'm sorry you've been sick, and we've missed you, I'm glad to see you back! Stick around a bit!

@Anansi, thanks for the delicious breakfast (as usual!) and the kitchen chicken pics! :)

@Redhead Rae, the MD is getting big (long, actually!). I love when they start looking like a little man, lol. Those pics always make me smile! :love

To everyone else--congrats on the badges, hope y'all have a wonderful day, I hope everybody and their human, furry and feathered families are healthy and happy and free of suffering. Love you all, and see you later on! ***MWAHH*** my fabulous Squatchfriends! :hugs

(Edited for truly crappy fast typing!)

21, I'm sorry you lost your young girl. Hopefully she remains the only one that you lose for a while.

Sam, I'm glad you're starting to feel better.

Cappy, good luck oin the experiments. I think your first one will be interesting, considering washing eggs is supposed to remove the natural protection the bloom provides.

I feel like mashed taters today. So exhausted, I walked out to check on my broody and put eggs in the lock down incubator and I had to lay down for 1.5 hours. I don't even really feel like sitting up for long.
Now I want Mashed potatoes!

Rest is good if you are ill. Be sure to drink lots of fluids too.

Beaver went home found where he came in and blocked it off I think he was eating corn the neighbor dumped. Its official im calling Early a roo so two roo and a hen...guess im gifting some roos again this year. Saw Hobo get mated finally so yeah great timing. Still have story time, and its a dilly might even teach some of our young squatchers a lesson on when its perfectly ok to tell a teeny little fib to avoid an all out uncalled for spousal fit. Im a teacher if nothing else. :)
