Morning everyone.

I am a bad chicken mommy.

I ran out of the scratch. I normally spread just under 2 cups for my gals. They did get chopped boiled eggs served mixed in the wet feed but the level of grump told me I messed up.
:oops:

As soon as the puppies go down for a nap I will go get some scratch. That should be in about an hour or so.

Running to the store real quick to get Buddy (Wiggles) some wet food to take his new med with. I should've stopped yesterday after picking up his med, but had other things on my mind. Wish I could pick up some scratch for ya Henny! :(

Not really sure what's on my plate other than that today. Stress has my head spinning in every direction, I'm overeating badly, and I can't seem to stay focused on any one thing for too long.

Hope Rae & Sam are feeling better today. Hope Piddles and The Piranha (staceys bebe) are little taters for me today! :gig

Yup! Getting and already got! We got 8 chicks mail-order on the 15th of February, and those are almost fully integrated. We got two dark Brahma chicks two weeks ago when we were in Tennessee, and took them with us on the 14 hour car ride back. And we just ordered some button quail eggs, which I am trying to genetically engineer.

Speaking of that experiment-
How much temperature fluctuation is ok? The new bator is fairly steady, but fluctuates around 1.5 degrees. I set it at 100*, but gets up to 100.5 and down to 99.

I took them an apple and hung it in the run. They quieted after that. Spoiled messes that they are.

Sable is a little doll and behaving so far. :p

My little Windy is doing so much better after slowly gaining weight back. I am relieved since I was sure she wasn't going to make it. She was one of the first ones at the apple.

Well I am going to bring pups in from their potty trip and down for a nap for them.

Back from the stores.

Had to go to TSC and my regular feed store.

I only get cat litter at TSC.

So many chicks! :thSo much pasty butt on older chicks!
Many were old enough to see who was a boy. Somehow 50 silkies at 3 weeks old seems to many for a 4' oval stock tank.
:(

My regular feed store has 3 SS at 5 days old.
I almost bought them.

Can Cooper come explain to Sable how that works?
She will be playing hard and run toward the door but not quite make it out. She can have just come in and this happens.
