I suggested ducks to hubby....... I got the look.


I think a strawberry bed or other veggie would go over better.

Just get him ducks for his birthday. How could anyone say no to such cuteness?

Aww hon, he could and would say no. He has said it many many times already.

A puppy, parrot, pig, goat, or even a lamb would be a fast yes. Ducks are a hard no.

I am tempted every year to get the cackle hatchery surprise.........

My luck would be half ending up being silkie males.

Iv'e already thought about that and it is killing me not to do it. Don't think for a second iv'e got willpower, iv'e just got a couple weeks before chick time to rationalise my actions. Also iv'e heard sometimes they chunk an extra in to cover any dead ones. If i got an extra AND a meal maker my chicken math is blown all to taters.

My favorite feed store is getting blue Australorp on Friday......I have 5 broody hens! I should get at least 10 so each broody can have 2.
