SWIM ate some gluten free sugar cookies and feels better. SWIMs kiddo isn't even a pinch worth of traumatized...... not sure if that means the kiddo is getting used to farm life or is gonna grow up to be a serial killer. :gig

The dead chook was an unnamed one, a younger one that hadn't even started laying yet.... shucky darn.....

Very glad that SWIM'S small one is not upset.
Bummer SWIM had to deal with a predator at all.

Ya'll remember my creepy neighbor?
Yup he's still a creeper.
My flower bed needs weeding, trimming, watering etc. I was out there a whole 15 minutes before creeper comes out to mow. I have zero issue with him mowing, watering, hanging out in his yard.
No need for him to "talk to himself" about how "I'm not going to tell you I like your motorcycle", "I really hate all those flowers".

What the TATER? I pretended I could not hear him and just continued what I was doing.

I think he has some serious mental issues.
I KNOW he owns guns. A few years ago he asked my hubby and son to help him move a gun safe inside.
Yeah that was before he turned creeper.

That’s f’ing scary.

Someone Who Isn't Me had an owl caught in their run this morning when they got up to feed their chickens. SWIM also found a beheaded chicken in the corner of the run as well. SWIM said it didn't look eaten, just beheaded.

SWIM tried, in vain, to catch the owl, and SWIM said it looked like it was wounded. Before SWIM knew it was illegal to dispatch the owl, SWIM dispatched the owl.

First predator SWIM has ever dispatched without their SO. SWIMs little kiddo had to help while SWIM went to get their dispatchin tool.

SWIM said they are gonna go cry a LOT, eat some ice cream for breakfast and then go back to bed.

Poor SWIM :hugs
Hugs, that sucks! I need to dispatch this wild rabbit its eating all my marigolds, and beans, and last night it ate one of my grape vines! I mean, the woods are full of grape vines, why mine? I just need to sit up all night with the shotgun...

That’s f’ing scary.

Yes he is uber creepy. Never know with some people.

This is the same one that hates tow trucks.

I am actually worried about how far he will take things when that ordinance passes and 2 tow trucks are parked here.

The ordinance is treating tow trucks as emergency response vehicles.

We and hubby 's boss have done many things to try not to piss this tater off. Hubby's boss bought a new smaller tow truck so hubby can park in the driveway. My sons truck is a bit bigger and does not fit. He parks it down the street and around the corner for now. Soon it will be directly in front of my house. My car will move to the side yard and our pick up will be on the other side of the driveway.

Yeah we are pretty fed up with his antics.

I will get a restraining order if it goes much further.

Molly is off the nest with her brood, but the late hatcher hasn't hatched yet. I brought it inside, boosted the humidity in the incubator a bit and popped the top off the egg. I was a little too aggressive with the membrane and it bled a little bit. I thought it would be closer to hatching but I guess it is a good bit farther behind the others.

I took one of my trays out and two of the Chocolate Orp eggs I set last night are laying on the bottom. I got the humidity up to 70% and I'll leave it there long enough for this little one to hatch.
