Ewww gross! I am so sorry. Today we had enough rain to actually cool things down (in addition to helping the plants) It was the first time in a long time that I have seen non-panting chickens.

@rjohns39 something I forgot about the traps, we baited the traps for a week without setting them to get the coons comfortable with them.

Old dry dog food. We haven’t had a dog in 1.5 years, but we still have some dog food. They say dry cat food works as well.

We are forecast for a high of 70 with an 80% chance of rain!!!




RJ, We have used marshmallow, canned fish and boiled eggs as coon bait. If one thing doesn't work maybe try the sweets.

Well I finally did the math for the cockerels... 54 pounds 9 oz of meat to the freezer. They averaged out to about 3.8# each.
