We don't have enough wooded area around here for fox/coyote *I think*..... plus, there always seems to be one duck *on watch* whenever we've taken the dogs out at night to potty......

We have fox here in town. No woods for over 20 miles. Same thing in the country, no woods but lots of fox.

They would come in and snag my ducklings. Two or three at a time would go missing.

It sucks taters.

GOOD MORNING SQUATCHERS!!!

So, riddle me this: What predator could walk off with 4 ducks with absolutely no signs of anything happening to them? No blood, no feathers, no NOTHING!

And, a predator who would leave a huge tatering rooster alone who likes to roost on the top of the coop, EASILY in reach of a flying predator who could snatch his butt off the top of it.

We had lots of rain last night and some high winds... but the winds weren't of the sort I feel would blow 4 ducks away, since we had a pair of sneakers *drying* on the deck banister and they didn't move an inch. Besides, they would've been blown into our side field, so we would have found them.

Rainy and overcast today, so no getting the PIC and friend out of the house and to the pool for swimming.... which stinks to high taters. It's cool enough out that I can do some work in either garage, but absolutely ZERO energy to even get up to make something to eat.. guh.

Coyote, fox, maybe others depending on their numbers and how hungry they are. I never did find out what happened to my guinea.

Fox here too in broad daylight just in a neighborhood. They run across the streets with tails a flyin just like dogs on the loose.

Did you do a driveabout?
Maybe they got spooked by the storm and took off.
They might have stuck together.

As for pic and pal
Movies?
Bowling?
Both fun summer activities.
Although movies plus movie food costs a bundle.

The 'not knowing' is the hardest part.
My call duck Malibu was missing a duckling Wednesday evening when I got home. I looked all over, hoping to find some sign of something. Viewed 8 hours each of 3 security cameras. Still can't figure out what happened to it. I suspect a feral cat that sneaks around our perimeter, but will probably never know for sure, unless I find a body in the next few days.

I can't find a house to save myself. Been through so many I lost count. Bid in several only to be outbid, down right rejected, or (and my favorite) ignored. Found out it sold when the listing changed. That realtor has still never said a thing.

Looked at another yet again today. Get home and I'm locked out. Literally the key won't go in the lock all the way. Tried the spare key. Nope. Lubed the lock. Still nothing. So I had to hoist my tater through a window. Lost my balance and crashed to the floor.

To top it off my dishwasher is broken. The ACE is mad she's had to be on her chain (scared the crap out of runner) so poops in the walkway. And meds for chicken are days away.
Even though people disagree I don't think it's canker. I'm thinking thrush from the algae in the waterer.

Ok, I got punked on my pack and play something about a "compromised" ebay account...sure. Anyway found a pen on chewy, thing is they have pretty much the same pen different maker at a higer price. Now get this, they will not tell me the difference between them! Ya'll know I bought the cheap one. Dimensions, material all the same. If you see them side by side it is the same flippin pen! I just don't know about companies anymore.
