Good morning everyone have a good day:cool:

Well I went to treat the little Phoebes and they flew off. Sprayed the daylights out of the nest and surrounding areas. Now I'm finding little bugs on me! :sick May spray myself too!
Yuck ! I would. Then take a shower.

Their mom and dad will come and feed them in the yard and get them all on their wings today.

I was surprised how well they flew. Momma was on a branch squawking as they all took off together. Hopefully the bugs I found on myself were from birds flapping their wings. I'm itchy thinking about little tiny bugs in my hair.

Rough start to my morning.
Dolly’s morning really.
She’s a buff orp with a big comb.
Somehow the back of her comb got torn at the base.

I brought her in and cleaned it and since the margins weren’t jagged I thought no sweat. I’ll use a bit of crazy glue then blue coat it.

But the crazy glue dried and looked great but then when she shook her head a few minutes later it came apart completely and started to bleed again!

I couldn’t just leave it hanging.

And I don’t have a vet who will see chickens.

Then my dang phone died!

I decided to stitch it.
What an ordeal!. Afterwards I painted it really well with bluekote but after I put her back outside Rosie went right after her.

Currently have dolly in the run by her self so no one picks on her. What do you guys think I should do? I have pics if anyone wants to see them. She was a very good girl

Edited to add: the crazy glue seemed to be holding up until I put the bluekote on it.
Maybe something in the bluekote neutralizes crazy glue?
