Official Squatch Watchers

So what did you decide to give them?
I ended up buying an equine dewormer (Zimecterin Gold). I checked their cat and dog medication section (I think pills actually would have been much easier) but the selection was lousy and there was no Praziquantil. They didn’t have Valbazen either :/ but at least they had lots of horse stuff :idunno
Had to help achick hatch last night...head and wings superglued to membrane... everything else was out.
It was dead this morning... another pipped and started to zip and was dead this morning
:hit :hugs:hugs:hugs

Forgot to add, for the littles I took Anansi’s earlier medication related advice and mixed their dose with some all natural veggie baby food. It gave the medicine a much thinner consistency (and better taste). Then I just dribbled it onto their tongues bit by bit. I am going to start keeping a jar of baby food in my chicken first aid kit from now on :thumbsup Thanks Anansi!

@CSAchook You're vey welcome.

DD#3 has a couple of baby plecos, and the final tadpoles is finally becoming a frog. It just needs to lose it's tail. As for the plecos, there may be more than 2, or the 2 may have been eaten already, won't know for sure for a couple months. The child who doesn't try to breed anything has had babies hatch from the least likely fish to breed. She also manages to breed crickets in the adult tree frog enclosure, but the frogs get those.

I get a whiff of the one out by the coop when I go by and :sick holy taters does that thing stink! But it’s filling up with flies.
They really do work amazingly well. I save the lid to the bottle and when it’s too gross to look at—stuff the paper inside and put the lid back on. Then throw the whole thing out.
He used a plastic funnel. Hope it gets rid of them. Last time they got into the drain pipes and we had to treat those.

I ordered my Valbazen online.

With the paper funnel you can make the hole smaller. It should be big enough for them to crawl through but not by much. Then it’s in the bottle far enough that when they go to fly out they pass right by the small hole and go to what should be the top.

Good to know! I have never looked for it before and just assumed it was commonly sold in stores

I swear I got it on Amazon (I order everything from Amazon) but when I looked they don’t have it.
My other go to would be kvsupply.com

Oh, molpet. So sorry. :hugsPoor little babies...
I was so hoping we’d had a day without death. :hit

She's a faverolle, just funny looking for one. No beard, no cheeks and her feet are tiny. Don't know what happened there.:)
@Chickassan , what kind of chicken is tucks? She’s very pretty.

Also. ... men. Sheesh.

Hey, I hate to ask this everybody, but did the squatchers make it through one whole day with zero deaths (except for the dog)?

I’ve been busy today and have only gotten to sit down a couple of times. And DH has been off and watches all “His shows” on tv that I have zero interest in, then when he sees me typing or reading he pauses the tv.
Dramatically.
And says “No, go ahead. I’ll wait.”

:barnie:barnie:barnie

:hugs

I sucks when that happens. I've had several chicks die that way. It was because my incubator got too hot at some point during incubation.

these were under a broody... it has been hot here too
2 other hens haven't hatched anything, I was hoping this one would hatch more so I could give a cheick to the big cx mixed hen that keeps breaking eggs. The other hen is sitting on a new batch of eggs, so hopefully she will hatch extras.
And it seems I have another hen gone broody.. I may fire up the incubator so I have chicks to give these girls.
