I thought leghorns didn't get broody!I had a bit of a heart attack yesterday. I thought something might have happened to my white leghorn broody.
She's alright, she's just plucking and lining her nest with her feathers.
I have 5 babies hatching for her right now. 2 external pips, 3 internal.
They don't usually go broody, but it can happen. My case, proves it.
If you have one go broody, hatch a cockerel from her and use him for all your breeding. That helps add broodiness to your line.
Well all these years i never had a broody Polish but if i get one i will try that, thanks.
Even my SS are not interested. I did have silkies and cochins in TN that were good broodies. Had to sell all of them when we moved to FL.
