Ha! Iv'e got a semi interested Mexican fella, there is a language barrier from hades but I think he wants a breeder to make chunky eating chickens. Early is perfect for that! He's chunky and wants to breed everything.:gig
Google translate? Oh, I hope he takes him and gives him a good home. I was fondling my 'boys' last night, their butts are still too naked for saddle feathers. I keep hoping for a peek of something that would give me confirmation. The other 2 'girls' seem to be a lot more feathered out. I'm so afraid of giving away the wrong ones.

I’m still dealing with my taterhead rooster. I have found that generally if I ignore him he’s ok. He’s seems to be wary that I will attack him. So if I don’t make a move towards him he just watches me. Of course he thinks most any move I make is an attack. So generally when he acts like a turd I trap him and pick him up. Look right at him and tell him to knock it off. When I put him down he runs off. Then I swear he’s good for several days. Like he remembers I’m bigger then him and can just pick him up. Thinks twice about being a tater.

@apryl29 I know exactly what you mean about the work situation. I worked in a factory (never again) and my boss told me that when my parts get to the next step they see my name on them and throw them in the trash. I was crushed. But once I thought about it I knew she was full of it. Parts are checked before we start, then randomly throughout the production to make sure they stay in spec. So to say all my parts are trash is a load. I also frequently found parts I had done and put on the shelf for the next step only to find my name crossed off and someone else’s in it’s place. So parts with my name didn’t even get to the next step. Told the whole story to HR when I handed in my keys and walked out.
That's horrible. Ugh.. why are people like that? At least you're out of there. I have a few other people here who are just hateful for no reason, I avoid that building like the plague. They're well past the point where they could retire, they just don't. I think it's b/c the enjoy making other people miserable. Like their manager up and quit and took a non mgr position at another library farther away from her home just to get out of there.

How does this even happen? Hung their butt over the side? Fighting for a spot in the box and just couldn't hold it in?
I have had where they seem to lay an egg on the roost. IDK if they were asleep and it worked it's way out, or if they thought they had more time, but it's happened.

Anybody else got molting going on? There is a huge pile of feathers under the porch and nobody is missing, nobody looks balder either.:idunno
I've got several molters & they all look normal unless you go digging in their feathers. Even little Willie has a naked neck. Odin's tail feathers look like he's been through a wringer.

The perks of being the cleaning lady. :D:lol::D:lol::D
Awesome chicken drawing!

Nice! You chickens eat nanners? Last time I chunked one out I got....the look.:caf
Mine love them! the other night I tossed a cucumber out to them in pieces and they were like Whatever, but I tossed the banana and they all started running for it. But they're probably what a normal person would consider a ripe banana (mostly yellow, but w/ brown spots).

Ya'll have been busy!

No molters here. Just a bunch of noisy layers already half naked from being broody.

I brought zucchini brownies!

Oooo jealous. I made lemon bars for the first time and was surprised that they actually turned out.

Went for bed checks and found my Olive Egger in the nest box. Looks like broody is contagious. She plucked her belly in a day! Nope, nope, nope! No hatching. Got to many taterin boys last time that I still need to get rid of!
Could you get some meat bird eggs to hatch and sell? She'd get to have babies and I'd think it wouldn't be to hard to find someone who wants them.

This little chick was found by Ash last night by their dusting tree. Must have got knocked out during the rain storms. I fed it an ant that was biting it's toe and some eggs. I stuck the bowl to a tree branch. Hopefully it made it.

I have had to explain to the girls several times this year that “the early broody gets the eggs” :gig Everybody else is going in the broody buster,

Haha. I wish I had more broodies. Mine have made it easier to brood all the chicks I have. Then again, I have more space and resources than the average person.

Lol. I got it at a yard sale.
As soon as I touched it the lady hosting the yard sale screamed, “HEY! Lady in pink! YOU TOUCHED IT, it’s YOURS! FREE! My mother in law sent it and I want it OUTTA HERE!”

So I took it home.

:lau have you seen the thread of chicken related items? This definitely needs to be seen there. (I'll find a link)
