My dh’s family is in full and complete meltdown mode.
There’s so much to tell I don’t know where to even start and frankly I’m too exhausted to even try tonight.
The pst two days I’ve worn many hats including from being the information relay person, referee, counselor, BS monitor and caller-outer, and patient liaison from 500 miles away.
Thank God for helpful healthcare professionals.

Pretty sure at this point I’ll be going to hell for all the angry, hateful thoughts I’ve had in the past few days. I’m trying so hard not to judge my in laws but dang. They are completely abandoning their dad.

Please keep the poor old dad in your thoughts.
No one deserves to have such crappy children.

Found WW fence for a great price so planning on picking that up.

Question is can I use WW for the apron? I plan on using 2'-3' HW cloth around the bottom but taters is it expensive! Could I use WW bent 90°?

You can use WW for the apron. I still like to use hardware cloth on the bottom of the run walls. I cut it in foot high sections, and go all the way around the bottom so coons don't reach in. I also put either pieces of plywood or hardware cloth at the end of the perches on the outside for the same reason.

W W for the apron will work to keep big diggers out.... weasels will climb anyway

Good morning! It is rainy and soggy again, if this keeps up i'm going to mildew. Hubs isn't happy with me this morning due to my laughing at something that isn't funny "at least to him, it was hilarious to me." As ya'll know MIL and I don't speak now and that is fine with me so I don't know about her unless hubs tells me. Anyways hubs was loading my live trap into the truck and i'm like where are you going with my trap? He tells me MIL has brought a feral cat into her house, let it loose, and now can't find it to get it out...I snickered a little bit at this I found it funny! I get feeding a feral, maybe trying to get it to like you but who traps one and lets it loose in the house? Needless to say it is ripping down blinds and pooping everywhere when she goes to work. The cat is smart, it wants out of the nuthatch.

Interesting point! His sister , a crazy mean selfish hypochondriacle egomaniac who claims to be devoted to her “daddy” but does virtually nothing FOR him, does not have children. (Many thanks universe!)

She leads a dual life, posting regularly on Facebook about her father and her supposed care and devotion to him-
Racking up hundreds of likes and nearly as many gushing comments about what an admirable daughter she is.
I’ve almost deleted my own fb page on numerous occasions to restrain myself from JUST ONCE posting a rebuttal on her page, calling out her totally fabricated BS for her fawning fanbase of followers to see.
No good would come of it of course except for the fleeting feeling of elation.


His brother, is just lazy and wants it to “just be over”.
He is a person who doesn’t respond well in times of stress and would rather stick his head in the sand than be proactive about anything.

He has only one child , she is in a very private and commensurately expensive college ,and spends a lot of time “traveling abroad”. She has never had a job. Never even babysat for spending money. She is coddled and spoiled to a shocking level and is on track to become just like her aunt. I am surprised when I speak to her (not often) to hear how heartless and narrowminded she is (despite all her travel) rather than to be more worldly, open, and accepting as most of her generation seems to be.

I know all this laid out here makes me sound like a terribly bitter person.

What you are hearing is based on 35 years of interaction, not a snap judgment by any stretch.

I’ll blame that on my mom and dad ( may they Rest In Peace) lol.
Both of them warned me when I was young, starry-eyed in love, and newly engaged.

My mom said “Marry him, you marry that family too you know. If I were you, I’d think hard.”

Was thinking WW 4’ tall then 2’-3’ HW cloth. But I’m thinking it will be easier to bend the WW for the apron if I run it the other way. But that would make more seams...
I could overlap the 4’ wide sections of WW for the apron.

Does that sound like it will work? 4’ tall enough? Still plan on using the netting over carport frames. 2’ or 3’ HW cloth?
On a budget but trying to make an extremely predator resistant if not predator proof run.
