In other news, Flood warnings by phone in my area. I was busy outside and then i finished up and drove the mule down to look at the river. 20180802_175901.jpg
You can still see a bit of the island peeking up, but WAY higher now! It was like an all time low level for the year and then suddenly all this rain!
Got back to the house and the rain started again.

Do you have a pop up life boat ready!?! I went around and took pictures after the Grand River here flooded in 2006. People were evacuated from the second floor of their homes. An entire development of condos was condemned and eventually torn down.

No, we are way far up on the upper plateau. I don't think it has ever even come close to flooding that high.We can escape by vehicle if need be. Or, i could build a raft! We do have a canoe tied up to a tree.

FYI.
Nifty just started an interesting thread about greeting new members and asking for input regarding the possible revision of the new member template.

Cappy and I both hopped on with the same question, lol. , which he shot down nicely.

Then I started thinking about funny made-up questions. I don’t really know nifty so I don’t want to get in trouble posting jokes on his actual thread, but I’m alone in the hose and am cracking myself up.

Chicken math:

How many actual chickens do you have?

How many chickens does your spouse/partner/SO “think” you have?

Chicken finances:

What is the most money you have ever spent on a worthless chicken knick-knack for your home?

“..............” for your chicken coop?

How many times have you shopped online for your chickens after 11pm

Chicken shopping:

Can you get to your tractor supply store in under an hour and so you need god assistance to accomplish this trip?

* edited right here lol. I meant IF SO, do you need GPS assistance ! But if God gets you to tractor supply, that’s cool too.

How many chicken related articles of clothing do you own?

What percentage of that amount would you estimate to be t-shirts?

Chicken manners:

How many times have you left your house and knew before you drove away that their was chicken poop on an article of your clothing, yet you didn’t take the time to change?

Do you often examine other shoppers grocery carts and after inventorying their purchases come to the conclusion that they may also be a chicken owner?

How may times have you asked a total stranger in line if they have chickens?

How many times have they said yes?

If you are driving through a residential area with your car window down and think
*maybe it’s possible that you just heard a. “The egg song”
Or b. A roosters crow
Do you...
drive around the block again to see if the sound can be replicated or maybe catch a glimpse of a coop/run or do you ignore it?

Another edit right here!*
How many times do you circle the block before giving up??!!

How many chickens does your spouse/partner/SO “think” you have?
No SO but when people ask I say "around 20"

Chicken finances:

What is the most money you have ever spent on a worthless chicken knick-knack for your home?

None of chicken things are "worthless". I'd say PRICELESS!
They have almost all been gifts.
“..............” for your chicken coop?
Again not worthless, I just don't like it. An "easy fill" waterer. Fills easy--pain to clean.

How many times have you shopped online for your chickens after 11pm

I'm generally online after 11pm. How many times that's chicken related I lost count.

TSC is less then 10 min away. Two left turns. I hope I don't need GPS for that. God maybe...the other drivers are scary.

1/3

Tough one! Probably more then I'd like to admit. More of the problem is when I don't know I'm walking around with pop on me.
Do you often examine other shoppers grocery carts and after inventorying their purchases come to the conclusion that they may also be a chicken owner?
Whenever I'm in any type of farm or feed store.
How may times have you asked a total stranger in line if they have chickens?
I'd say a few. Maybe not even asked. If they have a big bag of food I'd just ask what type of chickens. I know you have them!
How many times have they said yes?
Every time. LOL

While house hunting I purposely did this!

How many times do you circle the block before giving up??!!

Maybe just 1 more time around. (Then check the satellite images of the area.)

Um... just chickens? Probably around 20. I also have 8 ducks and 4 quail (with more hatching.) I'm in the middle of downsizing so I can up size on my chosen breeds. I had 50 birds total a week ago but I sold a bunch since then.

How many chickens does your spouse/partner/SO “think” you have?
I'm honest with the number, actually. He's cool with it as long as the feed bill stays in budget.

Chicken finances:
What is the most money you have ever spent on a worthless chicken knick-knack for your home?
Five bucks, maybe. I'm cheap.

“..............” for your chicken coop?
I pick up most of my chook stuff at free piles, so again, pretty boring answer.

How many times have you shopped online for your chickens after 11pm
Can I plead the fifth with this one?

Chicken shopping:
Can you get to your tractor supply store in under an hour and so you need god assistance to accomplish this trip?
* edited right here lol. I meant IF SO, do you need GPS assistance ! But if God gets you to tractor supply, that’s cool too.
Yes, I believe it's just under an hour to get to the feed store. No GPS, I go there weekly!

How many chicken related articles of clothing do you own?
3. I'd have a million more, but I'm cheap and chook stuff never turns up at yard sales.

What percentage of that amount would you estimate to be t-shirts?
66%

Chicken manners:
How many times have you left your house and knew before you drove away that their was chicken poop on an article of your clothing, yet you didn’t take the time to change?
Um. I can't count that high.

Do you often examine other shoppers grocery carts and after inventorying their purchases come to the conclusion that they may also be a chicken owner?
Grocery store? I don't know how you could tell. I certainly do that at the feed store though.

How may times have you asked a total stranger in line if they have chickens?
Zero. I'm painfully shy.

How many times have they said yes?

Haha, I ignore it. Chickens are very common around here.
I'm not new, but I am TOTALLY doing these. I love them! Open quote to see answers.
