Yep I am Goldilocks
Ha Hawaii is humid and it rains every day.... a friend has a daughter there...can you imagine getting poultry mailed there
Mt St Helens on the west coast too

No earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, or humidity here. We do get HOT and then COLD and not very affordable either. :hmm
Then there are the wildfires too. :(

Maybe a hats why folks have summer and winter homes in different places.

@staceyj can you turn the neighbors in for breeding skeeters? Here the folks harboring skeeter ponds are made to clean it up.

Other than that our city sprays when they get bad. For human relief the citronella torches help. Not sure what would be safe for the chickens.

Was it expensive to live there before they made pot legal?
How far away from the freak hail storm that killed those zoo animals and damaged all those cars are you?
Oddly enough I live in one of those places where people 'summer' and it sucks.. but I guess it's must be marginally better than living in FL during peak heat/ humidity and tourist season.

Good morning peeps!

I have a job interview today. It's less than half an hour from my house and is an elementary school with ~ 600 kids, which would be kinda my dream job. Wish me luck.

I think my beautiful black roo, Lafayette, is gonna die. I don't know what's wrong with him. He's been lethargic for the past few days, walking slowly, tail is slumped, comb is flopped over. He hasn't crowed in days. He's lost weight.

I've been giving him electrolytes and probiotics and boiled an egg yesterday which he scarfed down. He is eating and drinking well. I gave him Nutridrench. I haven't seen his poo.

I went in the run and he was just sitting down in the dirt. I feel so bad. I love that rooster! He's only a little over a year old. He was fine right up until he wasn't.:hit

I have to go get ready for that job interview. I'm going to boil an egg for him first.

He had the most annoying crow, like a lunatic woman. Now I would give anything to hear him crow. :(

That horrible hail tends to be south of Denver. That storm was about a 3&1/2 hour drive away. Terrible terrible damage and death with that storm.

We are tucked up close to the foothills so are very protected from the storms. We only get deep snow if a good storm is turning counterclockwise, hail tends to be pea sized, tornadoes get blocked by the mountains making the wind shift.

Yes it has always been expensive here. More now than before but I am not sure the pot thing had much to do with that.
