Stacey,
I would politely ask them to re-aim it.
I had put massive flood lights on my house after I had 3 vehicles broken into in one night.
Yup bright as noon.

The neighbor across the street would hit the button to open their garage and it would come on.
I don’t know them and don’t want to make them feel like I’m complaining no matter how nicely I’d approach them. . I just hold the railing. Honestly it’s okay.
After all, I’m the one with the illegal chickens! Lol

Your photos are awesome. I keep trying to take pics and it looks like they're teleporting. I attempted to get some of my boys that I put on craigs list that were clear, but they were so far away b/c I can't get too close to them or they freak out. I wish we'd been home more when they were babies so they'd be more tolerant of people.

The cinders would worry me.. Yolo fire? Am I the only one who sees the irony in that? When they were talking about the Carr fire on the news I thought they meant car fire.. 15 miles is a little too close for my liking. My brother's out there in San Gabriel... I don't think they've gotten one very close to them, but I recall last fall they already decided what they were going to do if it gets too close. His wife has family in San Diego and somewhere else out that way.

I think 21 is right.. that actually happened to my aunt, she had surgery and the tube damaged her vocal cords and she couldn't talk above a whisper for a while. Maybe eventually it'll get better. I had a cat who never meowed. She made the mouth movements like she was meowing, but nothing ever came out. One day I told her to say something and she started meowing and Never. Shut. Up. Again. Constant stream of meows came from her mouth during the day.

I saw a mink running across a road once.. it was like a rope with legs. Weirdest thing I've seen in the wild.

Hopefully it'll descend before you take him in. Poor guy. Hopefully it's not caught up in something.
Woodland is in Yolo County. The fire is named for the place here.

Another funny one is the Carr fire that is burning in Redding, where my Brother saw the cinders. That fire is named for the place but was started by a Utility truck

Ah, I see. At least there's a railing. Maybe a fast growing boxwood can block a bunch of the blinding light.

Delilah has found her howl. She is using it to protest the cone. She can and will drink if I hold a bowl for her. In an hour it is a pain pill and some food.
Oh goody I get to hand feed the puppy that nips at my hand if I touch her food.
:woot

I keep hearing one of these neighbors yelling "Luna sit! Luna no! Luna thats a bad dog!" I don't know of any Luna dogs around here. If he's having to do all that hollering though Luna will be a sooner if she comes over here. Don't want to burn bridges but i'm not putting up with that mess for one hot second. :caf
Well if you name a dog Luna, of course it's going to be Looney! They asked for it!

Neighbor across the field (utility easement) has a super powered(?) flashlight that lights up my entire kitchen and scares the daylights out of me. Seems like someone is right at the kitchen window.

Told my son I need a more powerful one, so I can light UP HIS place. He was quoting prices to me. Maybe I can afford a heavy window shade. :yesss:
This thing is amazing. I can spot almost 1/8th of a mile away.

Yeah you sure can give everybody that, just do it kind of sparingly until you find out if it is going to give anybody the serious runs. It usually dosen't but sometimes you'll get a weirdo with a sensitive belly. At two months though you're good to give everyone the calfmanna.:)
Thanks! I'll toss some in their feed bin tonight.

@apryl29, Girl these latest chickens have been the easiest to take pictures of ever! They are just painfully mellow and don't run enough to get blurry shots. They have been like that since I got them. I don't know if they give the hens valium at Meyer's or what the deal is.:caf
If they are it must be new b/c the 8 I got from Meyer's last year were all flighty. I have a heck of a time getting any of them to not run off. The only exceptions are Olive and Loki.. the rest take off if I even look like I might want to come near them.

I guess it makes it easier to identify the area they're located. Hopefully they make some headway with them soon.

Jeeze, the only time iv'e seen these run is when the junebugs were getting in their pen. Can't blame them those things are huge this year and plentiful! I didn't see a single one last year. Seriously though these girls are not exiteable in the least, they don't even run from hubs and nothing animal wise likes him. They do scream at him like little banshees but they don't run.:)
