mud dobbers are generally pretty much leave me alone and i'll leave you alone. paper wasps or Japanese hornets as they're called around here not so much. My favorite insect is the robber fly as it will catch the paper wasp in mid flight and make a meal out of it. Doen't bother with us, just the wasps.
 
Tonight i got the third wall made of the coop! I did not put plywood on it yet, but i painted it all except the down facing side. Then covered it with roofing tin temporarily because it keeps looking and sounding like rain.
The bad news is that i am now out of wood. It has been a week since i ordered wood.
 
It was totally my fault. I've seen them around before and they generally don't bother me. I am leaning more toward a type of paper wasp once I zoomed in on the picture.
My favorite here are the European Hornets. Aircraft carrier Hornets. Cause their that big and could carry several smaller flying insects. LOL
If they fly close you can feel the breeze. Scary as all tater! But fairly harmless.
