Man the first day in the coop is always a tearjerker lol! I set that white pen up inside the coop and put a roost in so they'd have something similar to what they were sleeping in. I put their food and water in there for now but i'll take it out before bed. I put them up a little early due to weather and so they can come to grips that they aren't house chicks anymore.Just so sad watching them try to squeeze though the holes when I left.:hit

The not so little kids with their babysitter. Sugar the Swedish Flower is the lowest ranking hen I've ever seen. But the kids like to hang out with her. I'm hoping the move will readjust the pecking order. If not I'm going to try and make a separate area to give her a break from the others.

I don't know about that lol! I go in there they head to the food bowl, that Jezebel Easter chicken shows up they love on her! She was how i'd keep them put while I cleaned their pen, they've been facinated with her since they first saw her. I think she's replaced me quite honestly. I know she instantly stopped all that crying and i'm very thankful for that. She is however going to scare the bejeezus out of the others.:)

The things we do for our Chickens!
 
Got everyone to bed, the crying was insane! I had to physically pick up Cookie and put him on the roost, apparently Miss Jezebel is too much woman for him lol! The dirty looks that boy can give omg! And iv'e got to give him props, he started to bite when I put my hands on him but he stopped. His flipping feet are huge, felt like I was carrying an ostrich. I don't usually manhandle Cookie but I didn't have time to wait on him maybe he will forgive me.:caf
